Likeness in Clay

This sculpture is my first likeness sculpture in water based Clay. I worked on this sculpture over 10 sessions at Mikhail Pertsev's studio in Vancouver with the lovely model Lena.

Working with a live model has had it's own set of challenges, but staring and analyzing features in movement has led me to appreciate the art of figure sculpting more and more. This is the start to a very long journey, but I am excited to be a part of it.
